Brief introduction of Linoism
Linosim was established in 2020. Our goal was to create unique linocuts with limited edition that can be high quality and timeless work of art in any style of living space. One of the beauties of the traditional graphical techniques is that all of them are different so that each piece of linocut can become loveable and personal. Linosim is defined by the unique, peculiar world of the two artists (Dóra Tumpek and Attila Horváth). On our cuts, abstract frame systems and mythical stories of the folklore comes to life.
Dora Tumpek
I studied graphics at high school and later graduated in painting from the faculty of art at the University of Pécs. As a painter, I look for the relationship between organic shapes and the human body with an abstract context that determines my graphics. I am keen on art brut, expressionism, and informel. My main inspirations are the creators of these styles. My goal is to create pure and honest work of art with the expression of momentary emotional state and thoughts and play with the quality of lines. I have always been interested in portraits. I like transferring different characteristics and moods, catching the essence of the things and using this, transforming the shape totally and placing it in its own world.
